> Human-first research repository on women as civilizational operators, continuity bearers, and visible or invisible makers of Central Asia.

## Layer role

This repository studies a simple but underdeveloped truth:

> Central Asia was not made by rulers, conquerors, theologians, and poets alone.
> It was also made, continuously and often invisibly, by women.

This includes both:

- named women: rulers, khatuns, patrons, poetesses, dynastic actors;
- unnamed women: mothers, daughters, craftswomen, storytellers, shrine keepers, textile bearers, hosts, and continuity workers.

This repository is a human-facing research branch inside the wider Terra / FMP
weave.

It should hold:

- human-readable civilizational research;
- branch-specific publications and sources;
- public-facing comparative and interpretive materials;
- branch-level release, citation, and audit surfaces.

It should not become:

- a generic theory hub;
- a raw archive dump;
- a donor governance repository;
- a machine-facing shell at the top surface.

## Why this project matters

Official history often foregrounds war, dynasties, monumental authorship, and male sovereignty.
But civilizations survive through continuity work.

This repository focuses on women in relation to:

- memory and intergenerational transmission;
- legitimacy and dynastic continuity;
- food, hospitality, and ritual;
- sacred and shrine geographies;
- material culture and textile intelligence;
- oral tradition, naming, and social endurance.

## Main public surfaces

- GitHub Pages: [secret-uzbek.github.io/women-made-central-asia](https://secret-uzbek.github.io/women-made-central-asia/)
- Citation metadata: [CITATION.cff](./CITATION.cff)
- Repository root: [github.com/Secret-Uzbek/women-made-central-asia](https://github.com/Secret-Uzbek/women-made-central-asia)

## Publication automation

This repository already exposes the live publication chain:

- release bundle creation on tagged releases;
- Zenodo DOI synchronization after release publication;
- Terra audit of the visible repository surface.

The first repository DOI should be written back into `CITATION.cff` by the
Zenodo workflow after the first successful published release.

## Reading path

1. Start with [README.md](./README.md)
2. Continue to [STANDARDS.md](./STANDARDS.md)
3. Then open [DOCUMENTATION-STANDARD.md](./DOCUMENTATION-STANDARD.md)
4. Then move into `docs`, `texts`, `science`, and `Publications`

## Operating rule

This repository must remain readable for humans first.
It should not collapse into symbolic protocol debris, empty metadata shells,
or machine-facing residue.
